Minh Le, one of the two creators of the original Counter-Strike, has been hard at work on creating a new game, and though it isn't labeled as "Counter-Strike 2," it can be seen as a successor in spirit. Titled "Tactical Intervention" it retains many of the same themes of Counter-Strike, pitting a force of agents against terrorists to accomplish various objecives like the familiar hostage rescue. Minh still seeks to create his own game, though, and wants it to play faster than traditional CS, addressing issues such as camping by speeding up the gameplay. He is said to expect round times to be typically under two minutes. Minh also introdouces some new elements to the gameplay, such as adding controlable attack dogs, and hostages that actually move about the area and react to situations rather than remain stoic like the hostages seen in Counter-Strike.
Although not much more is known about Tactical Intervention at this point, expect to see a beta soon and a release by the end of this year.

The Final Stand is now Registered as a Not-For-Profit |

The Final Stand is now an official not-for-profit organization. We registered in the state of Texas in June and just need to file the final papers for tax exemption with the Federal government. The filing cost will run at around $300-$400 and as such we are asking our members to help with the cost, if we all pitch in it will only cost a few dollars a person. There will be a post in the forums tracking our donation progress, if you wish to make a donation please do so by using the donation button on the top left of the site.

On July 18th, around 10pm EST our website was reported by google and firefox as a attack website for malicious software. Shortly after this happened, our website was taken offline.

Our New Call of Duty 4 Public 16 Slot Server is Now Live.
We have been tossing around the idea of setting up a public game server. After taking suggestions from the community, we have settled on CoD4. The majority of our community has the game so it was a logical choice. We have created a public Ventrilo server for use while playing. If anyone would like to help support the server by donating to the server fund in order to help lighten the burden on us, that would be most appreciated, you can do so by going Here and using the clanpay system. Anyone who donates will be given SuperMod access on the game & cod4 vent server, as well as special ranking on the community vent server.
